Retirement Village Units
Gardiner Grove
Gardiner Grove is a special place. It is a quiet, very friendly, safe, secure environment surrounded by beautiful gardens centrally located in Lyneham – a short bus trip from major shopping centres in the City, Belconnen and Dickson. Regular public transport is available in front of the Village on Archibald Street. Medical centres are located in Dickson and Lyneham shopping centres. The area has several churches catering for most denominations.
The self-care reitrirement villlage units provide accommodation for war veterans, war widows and community citizens aged over 55 years. The units comprise two bedrooms, a north/south aspect and are identical (mirror reversed) in design. All units have carports, a lockable storage area, front gardens and rear courtyards.
In addition to the retirement village units there are also affordable housing options which are generally available to persons who would qualify for ACT Government housing accommodation.
Self-care, as the name implies, revolves around the independence of our residents to effectively care for themselves. The advantages of self-care retirement living include freedom from home and grounds maintenance, companionship of other residents and a sense of security while maintaining a flexible lifestyle.
Tours of the village take place every Thursday at 2.30pm.
