Before Admission

Before entering residential aged care, you will need to have an Aged Care Assessment (ACAT) completed to determine your care needs. This can be done by contacting ACAT directly or through your doctor, heath centre or local hospital.

It is also advisable to have an Assets and Income Assessment completed at this time via Centrelink or Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA).
