Morshead Home
Morshead Home for Veterans and Other Aged Persons is an independent, not-for-profit organisation. We have a range of levels of care enabling residents to live independently for as long as possible — Ageing in Place.
The governing Board of Directors, as outlined in our constitution, consists of members where a majority must be currently serving or have served in the military. This ensures Morshead Home remains committed to the need to care for Veterans identified in 1964.
Morshead Home is currently accredited until October 2013 and has been providing care to the Veteran community since the mid 1960’s.
Since 1997 and the introduction of the Aged Care Act, Morshead Home has extended our care to include all other aged persons and all special needs group.
Our facility now comprises 79 permanent residential beds, including two respite beds, and five dedicated older person’s mental health beds. We also administer 15 rental units, 40 retirement village units, and provide community aged care packages.
